Eighth March is celebrated International Woman’s Day. The first thing I saw as I opened my eyes today was one missed call and a text message from the same person. The message read “Happy Woman’s Day”. The message and text was sent around mid-night when the clock stuck to 8th March. As if it was my birthday I felt grateful. Scrolling through the social media pages I see our women in the nation celebrated the day too. I see they wore red today. I had to browse through on why red. It is a sign of solidarity and revolutionary love for a “Day without a woman”. I had no idea about the color today but I chose to wear something beautiful. I wanted to feel myself special on this woman’s day. So I gave myself a treat with a kind thought and costume of my choice.
“No woman, No Cry. #happy#international#woman’s#Day” was one of the many wishes posted today. Back during the days I saw this quote famous among tuckers. I saw this quote written on the truck doors or at the back of the trucks. I always thought that the truckers did not want woman if they wanted to live happy but a different thought strike me today on seeing this quote. I think you will not cry if there is no woman but I think you will not get to be happy if there is no woman. How??? What nonsense are you talking? How can both be possible? Are you questioning this? Yes, I will tell you why and how.
If it wasn’t for your mother (woman) may be you wouldn’t have made your first cry. You would have lost the chance of your first laughter. So may be the quote was “No woman, No life”. Cheers! Happy OURS day to every woman, mothers, sisters, friends and to the WOMAN.
