We are all attracted to what we can relate to and what we feel connected to. Be it person, things, colors, light, darkness, places and books we choose what we feel connected to. What attracts you? What keeps you going? What excites you? How do you choose? I think to each and every question, the answer is connection. But it may not be for each and every one of us. It definitely is not for me. I get drawn to things which excite me. I choose a book which excites me and I write when the random thoughts excite me. The exciting thoughts aren’t particularly happy thoughts. They are sad exciting enough to be jotted down or they are happy exciting enough to be penned down. And when it comes to book, I pick the books which are uniquely titled enough to be exciting for me to pick one. I don’t know if exciting is even an appropriate word to describe this feeling, enthusiasm and the joy that comes with it.
I am definitely not bookworm and I haven’t read many of the books which are popular among reading addicts. I appreciate and envy people who read a lot. I actually enjoy the sight of people reading and writing. I don’t know much about the genres of the book, but if I am to read a book and if I have to choose one among many I choose something that excites me.
Just as choosing, picking, even eating and our everyday choices, thoughts and actions must be exciting for us. I believe that our excitements must amuse us while it grows us as well. I hope that the excitement of your choices are exciting enough to grow you, mold you and prepares you to be a better person every day.
